ABC Youth is making strides towards the vision of our future and embarking on the next chapter! In the past five years, we have seen exponential growth in our program. We are outgrowing our rented space at a local church building and will soon be moving to our own new space. What was once a dream has now officially become our reality. With the help of investors, we have purchased a 15,000 sq ft property on Flint’s East Side, near Potter Elementary. The property will be transformed into ABC Youth’s official Youth Training Center. The Youth Training Center will focus on equipping and education our youth and their families. It will also serve as a hub for youth engagement.
The Youth Training Center will provide the following:
- Curriculum based prep skilled-trades
- Pre and Post Assessment of skills learned
- Skills-trade certificate
- After school training work station
- Classroom Literacy and Math
- Life Skills / Character Development (honesty, compassion, respect, and forgiveness)
The Youth Training Center will come equipped with:
- Full-Size Commercial Kitchen
- Labs for Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical
- Classroom Space
- Recreation Center (Basketball Court, Indoor Track, etc.)
- Playscape
- Community Garden
